Annual Green Crab Fertilizer Workshop with the Nantucket Land Council

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday August 7

10:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

In collaboration with the Nantucket Land Council and the Maria Mitchell Association, please join us for this free, fun and exciting way to help control the population of the invasive green crab, all the while creating an environmentally friendly fertilizer for your garden.

For folks to make their own green crab fertilizer, they should bring completely waterproof boots they're comfortable crushing dead crabs with, as well as a sealable bottle or jar to take home their fertilizer.

We will provide crabs, coolers, vinegar and take home fertilizer instructions.

Cost per participant: Free

Cancellation and Refund Policy: We understand that plans change!  Because we are a small non-profit that benefits from the contributions made by our generous patrons and supporters, cancellations make it more challenging for us to manage program enrollment. Tickets are non-refundable, should you choose to cancel. However, tickets are eligible for an exchange before the date and time of the scheduled program subject to a $5 rescheduling service fee, per reservation, and program availability. If you wish to reschedule, please contact us at info@mariamitchell.org.

This registration fee is non-refundable as it covers the cost of running the derby and the prizes awarded. Thank you for understanding.

All offerings are subject to cancellation by the MMA at any time, with or without notice for reasons deemed necessary by the organization. In the event of a cancellation by us, we will make every effort to provide a ticket exchange at an amenable date and time to both parties and if we cannot, we will refund the purchase and credit the original payment method.
