Join the Maria Mitchell Association, MMA Field Ornithologist Ginger Andrews, and special guest, Ecologist José Ramírez-Garofalo, on Saturday, May 2, for a one-of-a-kind morning of birding in New York City’s iconic Central Park.
The morning begins at dawn, when the park is alive with birdsong. Andrews and Ramírez-Garofalo will share expert tips on spotting and identifying a wide range of species, following the migratory paths of thousands of birds as the day unfolds. Afterward, enjoy a group discussion on the observances of the morning with a lite refreshment at the Central Park Boathouse Café.
This is an unforgettable blend of nature, science and culture, in the heart of NYC. Dress for comfort and the day's weather – binoculars encouraged! Limited tickets are available for this spectacular event!
