Join the Maria Mitchell Association for an unforgettable evening of stargazing at the Loines Observatory. Sip on delicious wine and other indulgent treats as the stars take over for the night.

 

MMA Astronomer, Dr. Jackie Milingo, will guide you through the constellations and invite you to peer at distant celestial bodies, through the antique 8" Alvan Clark telescope and the 24" Cassegran research telescope. Learn more about the constellations, phases of the moon, the planets, and Nantucket’s night sky.

 

Transportation is available upon request and departs from the Nantucket Hotel.

This program is appropriate for adults. Pre-registration is recommended as there is an event capacity. Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability.

Tickets are non-refundable, should you choose to cancel. 

Please note that the ticket price is considered a donation to the MMA. In the event that the program is fully canceled due to inclement weather, tickets will not be refunded. The full amount of $100 will be treated as a tax-deductible donation to the MMA.
