Vestal Street Observatory Opening

Saturday August 2

6:30 PM  –  9:00 PM

Join the MMA for an exclusive evening of stargazing and history as we celebrate the reopening of the Vestal Street Observatory and Astronomical Study on Saturday, August 2 at 630pm.

We are honored to welcome Brother Guy Consolmagno, Director of the Vatican Observatory, who will be joining us virtually to offer a special blessing. In 1857, Maria Mitchell made history as the first woman admitted to the Vatican.

Our friends from Travel Sommelier will be sharing details about their upcoming science and education-themed trips.

Stargazing will follow the reception at nightfall, marking the only opportunity this summer to view the night sky from the Vestal Street dome.

Limited tickets are available and pre-registration is required.

Please note: Due to inclement forecast for Friday, the rain date of Saturday, August 2 is now the event date.

Cost Per Guest: $200

Tax-deductible portion: $150
