2026 WINTER II AFTER-SCHOOL SERIES – Grades K–5
Winter II Session: March 3 – March 26

Join the Maria Mitchell Association for the Winter II After-School Series, designed for students in Grades K–5 to explore nature and science through seasonal activities, creative projects, and outdoor discovery—even in early spring!

This day-specific program includes transportation from local schools:

• Nantucket Elementary School & Intermediate School – pickup at 2:30 PM

• Nantucket Lighthouse School – pickup at 2:50 PM

• Nantucket New School – pickup at 3:00 PM
  (With parent/guardian permission)

Participants will travel to the Hinchman House Natural Science Museum or an off-site field location. While school may be out, the curiosity continues!

Pick-up is at 5:00 PM sharp at the Natural Science Museum, 7 Milk Street.

• Tuesdays – 4 Week Series
  March 3, 10, 17, 24

• Wednesdays – 3 Week Series
  March 4, 18, 25
  Please note: March 11 is a NPS Early Release Days. **This session require separate registration under the NPS Early Release Days option.

• Thursdays – 4 Week Series
  March 5, 12, 19, 26

Program Fee:

• $275 for the full series

• $25 per individual session

• MMA Members receive a 20% discount when signed into their account.

Celebrate the season of growth and discovery with the Maria Mitchell Association’s Spring After-School Series for students in Grades K–5! Each week brings new adventures in nature, science, and creativity as we explore the island’s changing landscapes and wildlife.

This day-specific program includes transportation from local schools:
